I've bought other kinds of bands and they've sometimes lasted months, sometimes a year or two, but this one is several years old and there is no sign of wear and no indication that it will stop working at any point in the future.
One needn't strap it on with a buckle. Its elasticity makes it easy to put on with just one hand, so one can easily don it while driving. I highly recommend it for anybody who needs a new watch band. They last a lot longer than leather or plastic bands.
