IWC's Spitfire UTC is a self-winding mechanical watch with a dual time feature, designed specifically for pilots and for those who travel through multiple time zones. Local time is featured on the silver dial with luminous hands and markers, large and small Arabic numerals, a seconds hand, and a date window at the three o'clock hour. This time display can be adjusted forward or back in one-hour steps, even beyond the date. Meanwhile, home time, or 24-hour Universal Time Coordinated (UTC), is displayed in an arched window below the 12 mark. UTC is an international time standard identical to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). It provides a time constant--a necessary function for pilots and travelers who cross time zones frequently, or for business people who need to communicate with associates in other countries.
